**Objects:** THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE HERITAGE AND LOCAL HISTORY OF EAST LANCASHIRE AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON THE WEAVERS UPRISING OF 1826 AND RELATED EVENTS, IN PARTICULAR THOUGH NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS, ARTWORK, MUSIC, TALKS AND INITIATING RESEARCH AND DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES.

**Activities:** The WUBC enables the facilitation and provision of commemorative events, artwork, music, talks, research and educational resources focused on 1820s massacres, protests and risings in industrial north England. Specifically we organise annual commemorative events; archival research; educational materials; talks & guided walks; networking & collaborations with local community, arts & heritage groups.
