**Since the project’s conception, Nava Foundation has focused on building a strong foundation for sustainable impact. This has included:**

**Community Consultation:** Engaging local families, elders, and village leaders in the areas we plan to support to ensure any grant support reflects the community’s needs and values. **Partner Identification:** Carefully researching and identifying local charities & organisations with a proven record of social work

## **Phase 1** Strategic planning

**Vetting & Due Diligence:** Conducting thorough checks on potential partners to ensure transparency, good governance, and alignment with Nava’s ethos. **Site Assessment:** Visiting the Mabira Forest area multiple times to confirm suitability and land ownership for our first grant project ‘The Tin School’.

## **Phase 2** Partner Collaboration

**After extensive review, Nava Foundation has confirmed trusted partners on the ground who we will support through grant funding. Our first funded project is The Tin School, located in Mabira Forest, Uganda, an early-years education initiative rooted in community, care, and long-term sustainability.**

Our main partners are Chances Charity, a Ugandan Charity with extensive experience in Ugandan rural education and the building of community schools in Uganda. Their expertise will help ensure the school operates effectively and sustainably.

Chances and Nava have partnered with Kimwani Church, whose team includes local social workers deeply connected & already working with the the Mabira Forest community and will be running the school.
