Introduction
Sudan Aid remains committed to supporting internally displaced people (IDPs) affected by conflict and instability in Sudan. Over the past year, we have focused on providing essential relief to vulnerable communities, ensuring they receive muchneeded humanitarian assistance. This report outlines our key activities between September 2023 and April 2024.
Distribution of Blankets
During the winter season, Sudan Aid distributed 100 blankets to internally displaced people in refugee camps located in Northern and Upper Nile states in Northern Sudan. These blankets provided warmth and protection against the harsh weather conditions, offering comfort to families struggling with displacement and limited resources.
Food Baskets Distribution
During Ramadan, Sudan Aid supported 36 families in refugee camps in Northern and Upper Nile states by distributing food baskets. These baskets contained essential food items to sustain families during the holy month, ensuring they had access to nutritious meals despite their difficult living conditions.
Challenges and Future Plans
While Sudan Aid has made significant efforts to support displaced communities, we recognise that the need for humanitarian aid continues to grow. Limited resources, logistical constraints, and the increasing number of displaced individuals present ongoing challenges.
Moving forward, Sudan Aid aims to:
