**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PRESERVE, MAINTAIN, AND DEVELOP THE HEART OF WALES LINE TRAIL ('THE TRAIL') AS A LONG-DISTANCE PUBLIC FOOTPATH, SO SECURING THE TRAIL AS A PUBLIC AMENITY AND A FACILITY FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE AND ENCOURAGING THE USE OF THE HEART OF WALES RAIL LINE AS A MEANS OF ACCESSING THE TRAIL.

**Activities:** FHWLT seeks to protect, improve and promote the route of the Heart of Wales Line walking trail from Craven Arms in Shropshire to Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, using public rights of way and roughly following the route of the Heart of Wales railway line. We do this by working with the relevant rights of way authorities. Our volunteers check the route and we raise funds to help to improve it
