Para 1.20 | This year Mabel’s Meals has made regular distributions of pet food parcels and averages 98 parcels per month (Sept 2025). We have also made regular distributions through Todmorden Food Bank and Halifax Community Fridge. In addition to this Mabel’s Meals made distributions to the Calderdale Intervention Team in domestic emergencies and worked with the Council during a gas explosion which caused several households to be evacuated overnight. The charity aims to assist: - those struggling to feed their pets due to the cost-of-living crisis, homelessness or other emergencies such as fleeing from domestic violence (as identified and monitored by our charitable partners); - local animal rehoming charities by reducing the number of pets given up due to financial difficulties; and - society as a whole by improving the mental health of those we assist to feed and therefore keep their pets. |
