Structure, Governance and Management
Azam Khan Foundation is an unincorporated charitable organisation governed by a constitution adopted on 18 September 2023. The charity is administered by a board of trustees, who are responsible for its strategic direction and oversight.
Trustees are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the governing document and are responsible for ensuring the charity complies with applicable laws and its stated charitable objectives.
Objectives and Activities
Charitable Objective:
The prevention or relief of poverty suffered by children and young people globally by providing food, clothing, educational supplies, and other essential goods to individuals and families in need and/or to charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.
Public Benefit Statement:
The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
Achievements and Performance

Although newly formed, the Azam Khan Foundation has made its first positive contribution toward its charitable mission.
Key activity undertaken during the reporting period:
- In July 2025 , a community South Asian cultural event was organised, this was to celebrate Eid and was open to all members of the community from all ages and backgrounds.
Total expenditure incurred for this activity: £8,000.00
This expenditure was covered by trustee contributions, one grant from local authority and income from pitch sales for stall holders..
Financial Review
For the financial period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025:

Incoming funds during the period, have been explained above. The charity does not hold any reserves or assets as of 31 March 2025.
Reserves Policy
As a newly established charity with no regular income, the Foundation does not yet hold reserves. The trustees will review this policy annually and develop a reserves strategy once income becomes more stable and predictable.
Future Plans
Looking ahead to the 2025–2026 financial year, the Azam Khan Foundation plans to:

Launch fundraising efforts to support future aid shipments to children in poverty stricken countries.

Plan and execute South Asian Community Eid event.

Identify new regions or causes aligned with our objective, including potential support in education and health.

Expand collaboration with local UK-based donors and international partners.
