OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The charity was incorporated as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) on 15 September 2023. It remained dormant for the period under review to 31 December 2024. The charity took over all the assets and liabilities, personnel and goodwill of the predecessor charity on 1 January 2025 and continued all the charitable activities uninterrupted.

Since 1 January 2025 the charity has continued to meet its aims of providing information, support, research funding and awareness raising that were undertaken by SarcoidosisUK in its previous legal structure.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

The CIO charity was dormant for the whole period under review, from incorporation on 15 September 2023 to 31 December 2024. The charity commenced activities on 1 January 2025. The transfer of assets and liabilities from the previous entity to the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) started on 1 January 2025 and was completed by 15 January 2025.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The charity was dormant during the period under review and has not prepared any financial statements as it had no assets or liabilities and did not undertake any financial activities.

Reserves policy: As the charity was not active, there were no funds or activities and no reserves to consider.

From 1 January 2025 the trustees intend to maintain free reserves in unrestricted funds at a level which equates to approximately six months of unrestricted charitable expenditure. The trustees consider that this level will provide su�icient funds to respond to any significant change in circumstances and ensure that there are su�icient funds available to cover support and governance costs.
