The policy of the Charitable Trust continues to be the provision of additional finance in order that its objects stated above might be further achieved. ## **Development, Activities and Achievements** The trustees consider that the performance of the charity this period has been most satisfactory The trust would not be able to provide such a wide service to our beneficiaries without the continued support of a large number of willing members ## **Financial Review** The financial position of the charity is considered most satisfactory this year ## **Future Plans** The church is looking to purchase a church building in Doncaster area to enable it to introduce services on Sundays and other days of the week. ## **Statement of Trustees Responsibilities** The trustees are required under the constitution of the charity to prepare financial Statements for each financial year, which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of its results for that period. In preparing those financial statements the trustees are required to: (a) Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently; - (b) Make judgments and estimated that are reasonable and prudent; (c) Prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue in business. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities ## **Approval** The trustees approved this report on 02/03/2025 and signed on their behalf, ## Dr. Hazem Gergis Gergis (Mar 2, 2025 18:18 GMT) Trustee S T M A R Y & S T M O S E S T H E P R O P H E T P a g e 3 ## **ST MARY & ST MOSES THE PROPHET COPTIC ORTHODOX CHURCH Doncaster** ## **Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of St Mary & St Moses The Prophet Coptic Orthodox Church** I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of St Mary & St Moses the prophet Coptic Orthodox Church, Doncaster (the charity) for the year ended 31[st] December 2024. ## **Responsibilities and basis of report** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: - Accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act or - the financial statements do not accord with those records; or - the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. The accounts have been prepared accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice for Charity Accounts The charity has taken advantage of the exemption to produce a cash flow statement on the ground that it qualifies as a small charity ## **Income** Voluntary income and donation are accounted for as received by the charity. Management and Administration Expenditure Expenditure on management and administration of the charity includes alt expenditure not directly related to the charitable activity.
