## **Chair’s report:**

This year has seen excellent progress in securing the foundations of the youth-led approach that Powered By Youth will continue to be built upon. As chair, I would like to commend the work of the youth steering group and the founders in all that this year entailed.

## **1. Structure, governance and management:**

|**Type of governing document**
**(eg. trust deed, constitution)**|Constitution agreed by all trustees
on 6thSeptember 2023|
|---|---|

|**Trustee selection methods**
**(eg. appointed by, elected by)**|Appointed by Poppy Sargeaunt
and Laura Busby (founders)|

## **Additional governance issues**

Our Powered By Youth Trustee’s met once between 31[st] March 2024 to 31[st] March 2025 although our founders met more regularly. This year was again a slow year for the charity as the founders personal circumstances meant development of Powered By Youth’s work was minimal.

A youth steering group was set up to ensure youth voices are threaded through the charities work and decision making; looking at different areas including a logo, branding, website etc as well as developing policies and systems.
