**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND SUFFERING AMONG CHILDREN WITH LIFE-LIMITING CONDITIONS RESIDING IN NOTTINGHAM CITY OR NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY, OR WHO HAVE A HOME POSTCODE OUTSIDE OF THIS AREA BUT HAVE A CHILD RECEIVING INPATIENT CARE AT QUEEN’S MEDICAL CENTRE (‘QMC’) IN NOTTINGHAM, BY PROVIDING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS, SERVICES AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES DESIGNED TO ENABLE THEM TO VISIT, SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH AND CARE FOR SUCH CHILDREN: (A) DISCRETIONARY GRANTS TO COVER THE COST OF HOSPITAL PARKING, TO SUPPORT PARENTS DURING THEIR CHILD’S HOSPITAL ADMISSION, TO ALLOW PARENTS OF HOSPITALISED CHILDREN TO ENJOY RELAXATION TIME AWAY FROM THE HOSPITAL AND FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH LIFE-LIMITING CONDITIONS TO ENJOY FAMILY DAYS OUT; (B) EMERGENCY OVERNIGHT BAGS, CHILDREN’S CLOTHING AND EVERYDAY EQUIPMENT FOR FAMILIES, TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS ON QMC PAEDIATRIC WARDS;  (C) DONATIONS OF BOOKS AND TOYS TO QMC PLAY SPECIALISTS.
