Civic Future has the aim of strengthening civic society and democracy through improving the quality of public leadership. Our programme identifies and supports talented individuals committed to liberal ideas to enter public life, and trains and develops them to be effective in a variety of roles.

Objects: The Charity Exists To Advance The Following Charitable Purposes For The Public Benefit:1.1 To Advance Education And Promote Research In The Social, Economic And Political Sciences, Humanities And Related Disciplines Including Without Limitation By Examining The Role And Nature Of The Values And Ideas Underpinning Liberal Democracies (Such As The Importance Of Nation States, Civic Institutions, Individual Freedoms And Related Legal And Procedural Protections), In The Development Of Societies, Economies And Polities And To Publish The Useful Results Of Such Research; 1.2 To Promote Within The United Kingdom The Human Rights Of Freedom Of Thought, Conscience And Expression As Set Out At Articles 18 And 19 Of The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights And Enshrined In The Laws Of The United Kingdom And Its Jurisprudence By: 1.2.1 Monitoring And Seeking To Prevent Abuses Of Power Which Interfere With The Lawful Exercise Of Such Human Rights; 1.2.2 Promoting Awareness And Respect For Such Human Rights; 1.2.3 Promoting Understanding Of How Such Human Rights Are Understood, Interpreted And Applied In Contemporary Public Life And Embedded In Contemporary Public Institutions; And 1.2.4 Providing Technical Advice And Commentary In Relation To Such Human Rights.
