To provide low-cost, high-quality French language and cultural education to children issued from French/Francophone backgrounds as well as those from non-French speaking families and equip them with skills for lifelong connection with their background. Vision:A circle where every French/Francophone child, regardless of socio-economic status, has access to a continuous tie with there origin. Our activities are based on the official programmes of the Ministry of National Education for Nursery and primary classes. They aim at the linguistic development of pupils in key areas such as comprehension, oral expression, spelling and written composition. The school emphasizes educational and cultural objectives, taught in a pleasant and playful atmosphere. |

| At "Lumières de London Bridge" our activities consist of supporting our pupils in their learning of the French language while encouraging exchange between the children as well as with the teachers. - Children learn while having fun. We encourage them to take an interest in their culture and learn about the key seasons in France, the famous characters and popular songs that all children normally know in France. - Our teachers are always looking for creativity in their teaching method to keep the children's attention at its best. -Teachers continuously receive relevant pedagogical training in the year's program corresponding to the level of the class they teach and according to their needs. -Trustees and all staff members get to do the Safeguarding training to stay aware of the current laws and regulations around dealing with vulnerable children and/or young adults. -Children come to us every Saturday from 10h00 to 13h00 (term-time only). They spend three hours in the school premises we use. They are taught all the rudiments of the French language (reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar) and Art & culture (Artistic traditions, exquisite cuisine, sophisticated fashion, Literature, Music) |

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Student Enrolment: We enrolled 21 children across different levels (Early years and Primary).

Progression: 100% of our pupils successfully completed their first-year programme.

New Facilities: Remained in the new facilities that offer more space to allow for growth.

Community Engagement: Organized a Christmas performance with a Franco-Senegalese band (Kora, Violin instruments played) and an end-of-year role play performance, songs and poetry in the presence of the parents

Attendance to a movie at the Ciné Lumières at the French cultural centre, Visits to Imperial war museum, also at Tate Britain
Scholarship: Awarded scholarships to 2 pupils whose parents were going through some financial hardship.

Meet Mia– A Real Inspiration!
One of the year's most rewarding successes has been witnessing the remarkable progress of a young girl, Mia who joined us feeling extremely shy and lacking confidence. Over time, with encouragement, support, and a nurturing environment, she has grown into a much more confident and engaged member of our school. Seeing her participate, build friendships, and express herself more freely in French has been inspiring. Her journey has had a positive impact not only on her own development but also on our staff, volunteers, and the wider school community, reminding us of the lasting difference that a caring and supportive environment can make.

Objectives and Activities
Lumières de London Bridge exists to advance education by providing high-quality French language and cultural education to children in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment. The charity aims to promote learning, confidence, and social development while fostering an appreciation of the French language and culture.
Activities and Achievements
Throughout the year, Lumières de London Bridge continued to deliver weekly educational sessions for children, providing engaging learning opportunities in French language, literacy, and cultural awareness. The charity remained committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child could develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
One of the highlights of the year was witnessing the remarkable progress of a young pupil who joined the school feeling extremely shy and lacking confidence. With consistent encouragement and support from our teaching team, she gradually became more confident, actively participated in class activities, and formed positive friendships. Her personal growth has been inspiring and has had a positive impact on the entire school community, reinforcing the importance of providing a caring and inclusive learning environment.
The trustees are satisfied that the charity's activities throughout the year have continued to deliver a clear public benefit by supporting children's educational and personal development.
Financial Review
During the year, the charity operated with total income and expenditure of approximately £18,425 Income was primarily generated through tuition fees and voluntary contributions, which were used to meet the costs of delivering educational activities, teaching resources, venue hire, insurance, and other operational expenses.
The trustees recognise that the continued increase in the cost of living and rising prices across the UK presented financial challenges during the year. Higher operating costs, including venue hire, teaching resources, and other essential expenses, placed additional pressure on the charity's budget. Despite these challenges, careful financial management and prudent use of resources enabled the charity to continue delivering its educational activities without compromising the quality of its provision. The trustees remain committed to maintaining the charity's financial sustainability while keeping its services accessible to families.
