The main activities undertaken for Public Benefit are the provision of age appropriate books to children registered with the scheme to enhance their reading skills and provide them with a better start for school entry.

The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit, 'Charities and Public Benefit'.

Nottingham Imagination Library Summary of the main achievements during the period The book giftiiiy boheme, in the Lity of Nottingham, operated in conjunction with the Dollywood Foundation UK, had been carried out. from inception in March 2012. through the Rotary Club of Nottingham Trust Fund. With the establishmp.nt of Nulliiiqham Imagination Library (NIL), the Nottingham scheme has begn transferred to NIL and is fully effeclive from July 2024 to carry on the distribution of books to children already registered on the scheme. With the conclusion of the Small Steps Big Changes .Qr.hpmé in August 2025. NIL will continue to diblribute books to Ghildren regislered on that schemp.. subject to the availability of funds. At 30 June 2025 there were 3.419 children registered in the City of Nottingham. Since Ihe scheme startp.d in Nottingham in 2012, 563,879 books licive been delivered and over 13.000 children have graduated or are currently registered. Looking Ahead With the funds heid and as mnrp become available it is planned to eAteiid Ilie distribution of books to other parts of the City and September 2025 marked the opening of a scheme in Bestwood. Risks The principal risks are the failure of grant applications, donations or fundraising activities which would seriously curtail the ability of NIL to establish new schemes to provide books for children_ Financial review The Trustee are pleased with the financial position at the year end. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Nottingham Imagination Library (the charity) for the year ended 30 June 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts

section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. the accounts do not accord with those records.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
