## _**Independent examiner's report to the trustees of DIYANET STOKE EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY CENTRE Charity Reg no 1204426**_

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of theabove CIO for the Period 21st Aug 2023 to 31st Aug 2024, which are set out on pages 3 to 4.

## _**Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**_

As the charity trustees of the CIO you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

It is my responsibility to:

-

examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

to follow the procedures laid down in the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under • section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and

• to state whether any particular matters have come to my attention.

## _**Basis of independent examiner’s report**_

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

## _**Independent examiner's statement**_

The trustees have prepared receipts and payments accounts showing donations received in the period of £39490 . Receipts and invoices along with explanation were given to support the transactions, however no property control was in place to record all transactions on timely basis. The trustees have now put in place proper controls record all the payments and incomings on timely basis with narrations.

In connection with my examination, no material matter have come to my attention, other than that referred to in the above paragraph;

which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect;

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act or

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records have not been met

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in

The charity's operations are fundamentally dependent on community generosity. It is **mainly funded from Donations** , and without this continuous support, much of the **running and maintenance cost** required to keep the mosque operational could not be achieved. This highlights the essential role of individual donors in sustaining the charity's mission and daily services.

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grant making;

- policy programme related investment;

- Contribution made by volunteers.

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

T

The charity was established in **October 2023** with the core purpose of creating a **local mosque** to serve the **Turkish community** .

## **Key Achievements and Milestones**

- **Initial Service Provision:** The charity immediately began providing services to the community by operating from a **rented local building** while pursuing a permanent facility.

- **Securing a Permanent Home and Renovation:** The major achievement of the year was securing a permanent facility. The charity contributed **£20,000** toward the building's purchase, working alongside **Turkish Diyanet London** , who holds the ownership. After renovating the premises, the charity successfully **moved into its current building around April 2024** , ensuring a long-term place of worship.

- **Full Operational Status:** The building now functions exclusively as the local mosque and is **open 7 days a week for prayers and services** , successfully achieving the founding mission and establishing a vital community hub.

- **Significant Financial Support:** Demonstrating exceptional backing, the charity independently **raised approximately £39,490** in total donations during its first year of operation.
