From the beginning of 2023 three thurches- Homewood Road Unrted Reformed Churth. Trinity St Albans United Reformed
Church and Greenwood United Reforrned Church arnalgarnated to form St Alban5 United Reformed Church. It is based on Iwo
Homewood and Greenwood situated respectrvety at Homewood Rd. St Albans ALI 48H and at Watford Road. Chi5wèII

all vested in Thames North Symod Trust as trustee5 and held for the benefft of St Albans URC in accordance wtth the trusts
applicable to URC properties.
The former Trinrty Church building at 3 8eaconsf4eld Rd St Albans ALI 3RD and the cotta8e at 3 Beaconsfield Rd St Albans ALI
were sold by Thames North Synod Trust in December 2024.
Structure. pvernan¢e and manatement
The activities of St Albans United Relormed Churth a￿ overseen by the Elders. Meeting of the Church In actordance wSth the
provi5ion5 of The Structure of the United Reformed Church determined by the General A55embfy of the Llnited Reformed
Church. and supplemented by the rules ol St Albans URC. The Roverning d¢xument of St ￿banS URC registered charbty is a
statement adopted at Church Meeting on 2*January 2023.
The Elders, Meeting is responsible fov thethnanoal administration of the Churth. and the care and maintenance of both Church
and klall premises and the maThses. The Churth Meeting gives general guidantt on the lile and work of the Churth.
The members of the Elders. Meeting of St Albans URC are the minister in pastoral charge Irf any) and up to 12 member5 of St
Albans URC nominated and elected by the members of St Albans URC in Church Meeting.
Elders normallyserve for 3 years.
retire by rotation and are elieible for re*lection. The members ol the Elders. Meeting are the trustees of the registered charity
during iheir period of Se￿l¢e as dders.
The Elders. Meeting met 10 times during 2024. It is assisted in the administratw of the Churth and its property bythe Finance
and General Purposes Committee. The Churth Meeting met 4 ty.mes in 2024.

A5 a local congregation ol the United Reformed Church. St Albans Unrted Reformed Church seeksto advance the Christian faith
for the benefit ol the public in accordance with the kheme of Union of the United Refornied Church through its activities and
the laciliiies offered to the communiiy by its l)uildings_

providing resources and facilitie5 for public worship. pastoral care and spirttual. moral and intellectual dEvelopment, both

The financial staiernEnt5 have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document. the Charities Act
2011. and guidance provided by the Charity Commission lor preparation of financial statements on ihe receipts and
payments basis.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling. which is the funttional currency of the charity. Monetary amount5 Iri
these financial statements are rounded to the nea￿$1 E.
The fiThancial statements ha¥e been prepared under the historical cosi convention modified to include revaluation of
certain financial instruments at fair value. The principal accountin8 polioes adomed are set out below.
1.2 Golng concern
At the time of appro￿ng the ffinancial Statements. the trustees have a reasonable expectat￿ that the charity has
adequate resources to coThtinue in operntional existence for the foreseeable futu￿. Thus the iwstees continve to adopt
the going concern basis of accountinE in preparing the financial stateme1￿.
