Activities

The purpose of the charity is twofold. It is designed to preserve and repurpose a Grade 2 listed building to accommodate a community space and to be a centre for the Arts and Tourism. It also ensures the heritage associated with the community in that it is also a home to the local historical society and its associated artefacts.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:-To Preserve And Protect The Grade Ii Bethania Chapel For The Public Benefit By Maintaining The Building For The Purpose Of A Visitors Centre; Andto Advance The Education Of The Public In Matters Relating To The History, Language, Arts, Social And Cultural Development Of Glynneath And The Surrounding Areas.nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] And [Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].
