2. Structure, Governance and Management
The Ellis Lake Foundation is a registered charity, constituted as a charitable trust and governed by its trust deed dated.
Trustees are appointed in accordance with the charity’s governing document and meet regularly to oversee the management and strategic direction of the charity.
3. Objectives and Activities
The charity’s objective is to support families of children receiving hospital care by providing hygiene and comfort packs to parents and carers during difficult times.
This service aims to alleviate some of the immediate practical challenges faced by families, ensuring they can focus on caring for their child.

All activities are carried out in line with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
4. Achievements and Performance
In the reporting period, the Ellis Lake Foundation has made significant progress, including:

Expanding the number of hospitals supported from one to three, including the addition of extra wards.

Providing hygiene packs containing essential items to hundreds of parents staying overnight or for prolonged periods at their child’s bedside.

Continuing to raise awareness of the challenges faced by parents with children in hospital care.
These activities have had a direct and positive impact on the wellbeing of families during distressing periods.
5. Financial Review
Total income for the period amounted to £5,561, raised through community fundraising, online donations, and events.
Funds were used to purchase hygiene items, packaging, and to support logistical costs in delivering the packs.
The charity operates a prudent reserves policy, aiming to hold sufficient funds to cover at least three months of activity costs, ensuring continuity of support.
6. Plans for Future Periods
In the coming year, the Ellis Lake Foundation plans to:

Expand support to additional hospitals and wards.

Develop partnerships with local businesses to support the donation of hygiene items.

Increase fundraising efforts to ensure sustainability and growth of the service.
