Incorporation As A Charitable Incorporated Organisation
A new Charitable Incorpordted Orgdnisation, Dunk'5 Educational Foundation wa5 Wstered
on 14 August 2023. A resolution was F4ssed on 3 August 2023 that all the property and assets
of the Dunws and Springett's Educational Foundation {Chartr&ble Re￿strnti0n No 307664)
were to be transferred to the n&￿Y fomied Charit2ble Incorpordted Owdni5ation, Dunk's
Educational Foundation (Charitsble Registrnuon No 1204336). This transfer took place on 14
August 2023.
Objert of the Charity
The objert of the Charity is promotyng the eduotion (including social and physid trniningl of
children and young persons under the age of 25 ye￿5 resident in the area of the
Ancient Parish of Havthur5L
The Chartty is governed by a scheme daTrd 12 Juty 1927 as amended by a scheme dated 22
March 1982 and a resolution of the Trustees dated 9 Awil 1997 under section 74 {21 (c) of the
Charities Act 1993. The Charity was originally tyvo seprnte charitie5 e5tabli5hed by the Charity
Commission in 1904. One of these vns Dunk's Educational Fourtdation. which had formerly
been part of Dunk's Almshow Charity. and the other was Springecc's Educatitsnal Donation.
The Goyerning Document used at establishment of the Charity has been (xrried acr055 on the
forniaoon ofthe CharitaNe Incorporated Ortdnisation on 14 August 2023.
Organisation
The Trustees vA)o served during the pr are set out on page one. The Representative Trustees
are appointed by the Parish Collnal and the CO￿p￿tiVe Trustees are pwjple residing or
¢arryng on a ￿sinesS in or near the Parish of Hawkhursc The trustees meet qLA￿AY.
RÉsÉrwès Policy
It 15 the policy of the chartty to ￿aIntain UnreStric￿d fiJnd& which are the free reserves of the
tharity. at a level that equates to approximatdy six months unrestricted expenditure. Thi5
provides sufficient funds w cover management and administration costs and to respond to
emergency applications for ￿an¢& unrestric￿ ￿ndS vRre maintained at this level throughout
the year.
Risk Management
The Trustees have assessed the major rFsks to vthSth the Charfty Ss exposed. in parucular those
relating to its inYe5tment& oFrdtions and firwntts of the charity and are satssfied that systems
are in place to MItyga￿ their exFKThJre to the major risk
Investments
The units in the COIF inwme shares have decreasd by 4.78% (2014 increase of 2.3%) this year.
The Tru5ffts will continue to monitor their inyestmert strategy. They retain th￿r Conffiden￿ in
the long terni benefits of equtty Investm￿ and have decided to keep the majority of the
investmènts in COIF.

Public Benefit
The trustees confirni that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Chariry
Commission's general guidance on public b￿efft reviewing the Trust's aims and objectives
and in planning future actmties.
Statsnlent of Trustees, Responsibilities
Chariy law requires the Truscees to prepare finaTrCi￿ 5ratements for each financial year which
8tYe a true and fair view of the affairs of the Charity and of its finanaal acti￿￿eS for that period.
In preparing those financial statements, the TnISt￿ are required ￿ -

The Trustees are responsible for keeping prc4)er accountyng r￿ordS which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial positson of the Charity and to enable them to
ensure that the financial sratsments compty with the relevant prowsions of the Charitses Att
201 l. They are also re5w)n5ible for safeguarding the assets of the charrry and. henc& for taking
reasonable ￿p5 for the prevents.on and dewion of fraud and other irregularioe5.
Review of the Year
Dunk's Education Foundation held a good and stsble financial position throughout 2025. This is
despi¢e unsrable utility costs and ongoing Maintenan￿ of the sch¢)ol hall and eommunal areas.

Basis of Preparation
The accounts are prepared in accordance vffth the provisior15 of Secyon IA "Small Entityes"
of Financral Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reportyng Standard appli(2ble in the UK
and Republic of Ireland" and the Statement of Recommended Practice "Accounting and
Rep)rting by Charities" 2015. They have been P￿pared under the historical cost convention
except for investments, which are carried at market walu

on 14 Augu5c 2023. A resolution vrds wsed on 3 August 2023 that all the property and
assets of the Dunk's and Springett's Educaoonal Foundauon {Charitable Regstrxtion No
307664) were to be transferred to the Tre￿ forn)ed Charirable Incorporated Organi5auon,
Dunk's Educationat FoundatK)n (Charitable Rwstrdtion No 12043361. This trdnsfer took
place on 14 ALWlSt 2023.
Fund Accounting
The Chali￿S Permanent End¢)wment Fund comprises the investment refe￿ed to below.
The COIF shares were purchased vrith the proc*Js of land sold to Dunk's Almshouse
Chartry during 1998 in connecuon with the erection of 4 new alm5hou5es. The sale was
approved by the Chariry Commissioners.
The Extraordinary Repair Fund is a fund desi￿red by the charlty to pmide for fvture miior
works. improvemerts and r￿acement expenditu￿.
Fixed Assets
No Yalue is included for the Charirf5 5bare of the original land and L￿ilding5 bequeath94 to
Dunk's Amshou5e Charity.
Golng concern
The ¢rustee5 consider that there is no materHI uncertwnty relating to going concern and
consider that the Charity is in a position to meet irs firwKial obligdtion5 a5 they fall due.
