The trusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statement of RecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththe Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019). ``` ## **`OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES`** ``` UK Wallball exists to: ``` - `Advance the amateur sport of wallball in England and Wales for the public benefit by the provision of and assistance in the provision of facilities for participation in the sport of wallball.` - `Advance the physical education of young people in England and Wales by assisting in the provision of facilities for playing and learning wallball in schools, youth clubs, and universities.` ``` Theseaimsaremetthroughnationalandlocalprojectsthatdelivercoaching,facilities, competitions, and community engagement. ``` ``` ThetrusteesconfirmtheyhavereferredtotheCharityCommission'sgeneralguidanceonpublic benefit when reviewing the charity's aims and objectives and in planning its future activities. ``` ## **`ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE`** ## **`UK Wallball became a charity`** ``` Onthe14thAugust2023theUKWallballAssociationLtdbecameacharitablecompany, registering with the Charity Commission with the charity number: 1204333. ``` ## **`Jack Petchey Foundation Project`** ``` 2023-24markedthefifthyearofourflagshipJackPetcheyFoundation(JPF)programme,reaching over 10,000youngpeopleacross45 sites.Despitenaturalattrition,wesustained40 legacysitesand launched 7 new ones (6 schools and 1 youth club). ``` ## **`Highlights include:`** - `10,018 young people engaged, including high BAME (58%) and female (43%) participation.` - `230 coaching sessions delivered and 25 new staff trained.` - `Expansion into new regions including Birmingham and Berkshire.` - `Powerful case studies from schools like Forest Gate, where pupils have progressed to the Junior GB team and competed internationally.` ``` TheJPF1-WallShowdownreturnedasastandouteventalongside9internalschooltournaments, the UK Open, and the European Juniors, where two UK Wallball participants won medals. ``` ## **`Events and High Performance`** ``` WeonceagainhostedtheUKOpen,amajorstopontheWorld1-WallTour.UK Wallball's high-performanceprogrammecontinuestogrow,withLukeThomson,currentEuropeanNo.1, leading the men's team and several juniors medalling at the European Championships. ``` ``` Wealsoranourfirstsmallplacemakingpop-upinFleetStreetQuarteraspartofthearea'sSummer of Sport.Thisraisedthevisibilityofourorganisation,allowedhundredsofadultstoseeandtrythe sport and attained national media coverage. ``` ``` Page 1 ``` ``` UK WALLBALL ASSOCIATION LIMITED ``` ## **`REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2024`** ## **`FINANCIAL REVIEW`** ``` Total income for the year was £107,750, comprising: ``` - `£80,031 in restricted funds from the Jack Petchey Foundation` - `Additional income from tournaments, school launch packages, and individual donations, including through our new GoFundMe campaigns.` ``` Expenditurewasfocusedonprogrammedelivery,coaching,equipment,andtravelforyoung players. UKWallballmaintainsacautiousreservespolicyandcontinuestoseekdiversifiedincomestreams to support future growth. ``` ## **`STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT`** ``` Thecharityiscontrolledbyitsgoverningdocument,adeedoftrust,andconstitutesalimited company limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006. ``` ``` UKWallballisledbyavoluntarytrusteeboard,withoperationalsupportfromasmalldelivery team.
