## **1. Overview** 

This report outlines the activities and progress of the Trust between June 2024 and May 2025. During this period, the Trust continued to support local communities in Bristol through housing advice, employment guidance, children's programmes, and targeted support for immigrants and new arrivals. 

## **2. Objectives** 

The key objectives during this period were to: 

- Provide accessible housing advice and support 

- Guide individuals towards employment opportunities 

- Build community capacity through engagement and effective follow-up 

- Deliver children's activities and trips during school holidays 

- Support immigrants and new arrivals in settling into the community 

- Strengthen partnerships with local organisations 

## **3. Key Activities** 

## **3.1 Housing Support** 

- Delivered a successful housing event in Southmead 

- Provided housing advice and guidance to local residents 

- Planned future housing events in BS 11, BS 10, and BS5 

## **3.2 Employment Support** 

- Offered job advice and signposting to relevant services 

- Supported individuals in accessing employment opportunities 

## **3.3 Capacity Building** 



- **Strengthened internal processes** 

- **Improved follow-up systems to enhance support for service users** 

## **3.4 Children and Youth Activities** 

- **Organised and delivered children's trips as part of a twice-yearly initiative** 

- **Delivered a summer holiday activities programme** 

## **4. Support for Immigrants and New Arrivals** 

**The Trust provided dedicated support to help individuals and families settle and integrate into the local community.** 

## **Support included:** 

- **Housing advice and assistance with applications** 

- **Job guidance, CV support, and referrals to training opportunities** 

- **Information on accessing healthcare, education, and local services** 

- **One-to-one guidance and ongoing follow-up support** 

- **Inclusion of children in activities and trips** 

## **5. Planned Activities (2025-2026)** 

## **5.1 Women's Swimming Programme** 

**The Trust plans to introduce a women's swimming initiative aimed at promoting health, wellbeing, and social inclusion.** 

## **Key aims:** 

- **Provide a safe and supportive environment for women to participate in swimming** 

- **• Encourage physical activity and improve mental wellbeing** 

- **Support women from diverse backgrounds, including emigrants and new ar ivals** 

## **Planned activities:** 

- **Weekly or bi-weekly women-only swimming sessions** 

- **Beginner-friendly lessons for non-swimmers** 

- **Partnerships with local leisure centres and community facilities** 

- **Group-based sessions to promote confidence, social connection, and inclusion**
