HERE North East CIO was established as a cultural hub and resource centre to promote equality and diversity for the public benefit. The existing archival materials are a fundamental core of this cultural hub and their continued care and accessibility are essential to our vision and strategy. Our collection is the first of its kind in the region and currently includes hard and digital archival materials and oral histories of several key local Global Majority organisations.

We appreciate the board members who have come together to try to move the charity along, but we have not been able to make much progress due to their limited ability to allocate the workload.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

**Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**
