The trustees oversee the day to day running of the charity. The trustees seek the views of members in deciding the activities to be run. All trustees give their time voluntarily and received no remuneration or other benefits. - the charity’s organisational structure and any wider network with which the charity works; - relationship with any related parties; - trustees’ consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them. ## **Section C Objectives and activities** **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** - To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by raising awareness of the contributions and history of Global Majority people in the North East of England. - To promote racial harmony and wellbeing for the public benefit by working towards the elimination of racial discrimination. - To provide a hub for a living archive and historical records of the work of Global Majority cultural organisers in the North East March **2012** **TAR** 2 HERE North East CIO was established as a cultural hub and resource centre to promote equality and diversity for the public benefit. The existing archival materials are a fundamental core of this cultural hub and their continued care and accessibility are essential to our vision and strategy. Our collection is the first of its kind in the region and currently includes hard and digital archival materials and oral histories of several key local Global Majority organisations.
