The charity objects are to protect, conserve and improve the wildlife and natural environment of
Comeytrowe Pond for the public benefit

Summary of the maln actlvitles undertaken forthe public benefrt
With the assistsnce of the kKal council and the local comrnunty we have managed to attract back
the wildlife includng the ducks. The fish are now thriving and this together with the activities and
a¢hievemenls listed below in "main a¢hievements" have benefitted the who]e community.
Summary of the maln achievements during the period
During the year under review we undertook fundraising by organising a Chtistmas Fayre. We applied
for and won a grant from Taunton Town Council for the construction of a waterfall at the pond, the
fvnds being spent and the required work undertaken in the followng year to 31 March 2026. We paid
for downpipes on nearby houses to be diverted straight into the pond to keep water levels up . We
fitted a hedgehog escape system. constructed a bug house. bought plants for the water and planted
bulbs to make the Su￿OundS wami and welcoming. Many weeding and tidying ses5ion5 were
undertaken by individual trustees.
The charity's policy on reserves
Our objective is to keep reserves of at least £250 to cover any unexpected expenditure.

1 Receipts & payments accounts
Receipls and payments accounts Contsin a summary of money received and money spent
during the period and a list of assets and liabilities at the end of the period. Usually, cash
received and spent will indude transactions through bank accounts and cash in hand.
2 Trustees. remuneration
Trustees received no expenses. remuneration or benefits in this period.
3 Donations in kind
The charity received donations in kind valued at £420 in respect of food and raffle prizes for
the Xmas Fayre, including £150 worth of alcohol and chocolates from the local Tesco
Express. These amounts do not appear in the income and expenditure account, which is
sole5y based on receipts and payments. The Trustees would like to thank everyone for their
strong support and especialty Taylor Wimpey who made a donation of £510 towards costs.
4 Grdnt
During the year under review the charity received a grant of £2500 from Taunton Town
Council towards a system to aerate the pond which wll be a waterfall feature, created with
proper slate rocks, with 4 solar powered pumps to function. Thi5 not only gives the required
aeration but also provides an excellent feature and a good reason for locals to visit the
pond. The funds were expended after the year end.
