Annually, new trustees are supported and inducted by the outgoing trustees via a handover process concerning the affairs of the charity, using materials supplied by the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs and the Charity Commission. There is a committee of supporters that assist the Trustees and provide advice support and continuity for the charity.

The charity is affiliated to the Kent and the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs. Together these form a network of clubs throughout England and Wales for young people aged 10 to 28 years.

The objects of the charity are:

  1. To advance the education of young members of the public at large in their knowledge of agriculture, crafts, life skills, rural affairs and country life,

The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. The club programme has provided learning opportunities such as line dancing and craft evenings. Members have organised competition entries, and stands at local agricultural events. The club programme has included opportunities to learn about livestock Summary of the main showing and husbandry, culminating in the three day residential livestock show achievements of the charity at the Kent County Show. It has provided opportunities to visit land-based during the year businesses and provided fun and leisure opportunities such as bingo.

The club has contributed to activities run by other organisations such as the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match and the Kent County Show. The club has run two of it’s own substantial activities, a Christmas tree recycle in two villages, and a lit up tractor parade, which both required the club to collaborate with local councils, businesses and residents.

The club was awarded Runner Up in the Community Spirit Category of the National YFC Achiever Awards in November 2024.

On accounts for the year 31[st] July 2025 Charity no 1204292 ended (if any) Set out on pages 1-4 Receipts and payments account 1-4 Trustees Annual Report (remember to include the page numbers of additional sheets) I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/07/20245 Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
