Annually, new trustees are supported and inducted by the outgoing trustees via a handover process concerning the affairs of the charity, using materials supplied by the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs and the Charity Commission. There is a committee of supporters that assist the Trustees and provide advice support and continuity for the charity.
The charity is affiliated to the Kent and the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs. Together these form a network of clubs throughout England and Wales for young people aged 10 to 28 years.

Section C Objectives and activities
The objects of the charity are:
- To advance the education of young members of the public at large in their knowledge of agriculture, crafts, life skills, rural affairs and country life,

The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. The club programme has provided learning opportunities such as line dancing and craft evenings. Members have organised competition entries, and stands at local agricultural events. Summary of the main The charity recruits its members from a significant section of the community at activities undertaken for the large. Section D Achievements and performance
The club programme has included opportunities to learn about livestock Summary of the main showing and husbandry, culminating in the three day residential livestock show achievements of the charity at the Kent County Show. It has provided opportunities to visit land-based during the year businesses and provided fun and leisure opportunities such as bingo.
The club has contributed to activities run by other organisations such as the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match and the Kent County Show. The club has run two of it’s own substantial activities, a Christmas tree recycle in two villages, and a lit up tractor parade, which both required the club to collaborate with local councils, businesses and residents.
The club was awarded Runner Up in the Community Spirit Category of the National YFC Achiever Awards in November 2024.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
The charity’s policy on reserves is to generate and maintain a reserve which will allow sufficient funds to:

Ø maintain the financial viability of the Charity in the event of unforeseen and/or unavoidable circumstance that brings a short-term fall in its income;

Ø to permit the Charity, in the interests of meeting its charitable objectives, to from time to time establish a new and innovative project on a project basis to demonstrate the feasibility of such activities as a test to maintaining such projects on an on-going basis.
For these purposes the Charity will endeavour to maintain reserves which are at least 50% of its annual turnover.

The charity has no funds which are materially in deficit.

The club has a number of sources of income, including a subscription for members (which they vote on), the Light It Up Tractor parade fundraiser, and a future Harvest Ball for which income has been received.

On accounts for the year 31[st] July 2025 Charity no 1204292 ended (if any) Set out on pages 1-4 Receipts and payments account 1-4 Trustees Annual Report (remember to include the page numbers of additional sheets) I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/07/20245 Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
