**Objects:** THE PURPOSE OF REFUGEES WELCOME IN RICHMOND IS THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG PEOPLE WHO ARE SEEKING ASYLUM, THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS, AND VULNERABLE MIGRANTS IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE, AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, BY PROVIDING:A. A LOCAL BEFRIENDING NETWORK THAT ENCOURAGES AND ENABLES THESE INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY;B. SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL SUPPORT AND EVENTS INVOLVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY;C. ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT THROUGH SERVICES RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING, HEALTH AND WELLBEING;D. EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND IN VOCATIONAL SKILLS;E. FOOD AND OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS;F. SIGNPOSTING TO OTHER CHARITIES AND AGENCIES FOR SERVICES BEYOND THIS CHARITY’S REMIT;G. RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF ISSUES RELATING TO REFUGEES AND THOSE SEEKING ASYLUM

**Activities:** We assist refugees and asylum seekers in Richmond upon Thames to settle successfully by: befriending, advising on accommodation, helping with communications, collecting and disseminating information, supporting material and emotional needs and signposting to other support agencies. We hold meetings and events to raise awareness, share information, raise funds, or for celebration.
