To advance the education of the public in all aspects of the dramatic art and the development of public appreciation of such art by the provision of a theatre and facilities for the presentation of public performances by providing grants. To provide grants for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals and organisations.

Objects: (1)To Promote, For The Benefit Of The Public, The Provision Of Facilities, Such As Sports Halls, Swimming Pools Etc For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Public By Providing Grants. (2) To Advance The Education Of The Public In All Aspects Of The Dramatic Art And The Development Of Public Appreciation Of Such Art By The Provision Of A Theatre And Facilities For The Presentation Of Public Performances By Providing Grants. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 And Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
