Para 1.20 | Membership of Old Blues Association Football Club increased, with 189 individuals from across London and the South of England registering to play football for the club during the 2023/2024 season. Four teams were entered to compete in the Southern Amateur League and several cup competitions, including the AFA Cup and the Old Boys Cup, enabling registered members to participate in a total of 79 matches across the season. The Third XI football team reached the club’s first ever cup final, which was a stunning achievement and fostered a great deal of enthusiasm, engagement and pride amongst all members of the club. A new benefactor, Footboard, became a sponsor of Old Blues Association Football Club, providing a donation of £500 to be applied towards the provision of new team kits for playing members. |

Para 1.23 | Participation in amateur level football appears to be decreasing in recent years and the main risk to the charity continuing as a going concern is a reduction in its membership. However, there is flexibility in that the charity can counter reduced membership (and therefore reduced income) by reducing the number of teams it provides, thereby reducing its costs accordingly, as required. |
