The<br>charity then offered 4 sessions per week<br>supporting families living with dementia via<br>its Totton and Calmore hubs. We launched a<br>new hub in August for families living in<br>Fareham and a further hub in Portchester in<br>January 2024.<br>We were successful in a National Lottery<br>application to open a new hub in the<br>Waterside area which will launch July 2024.<br>Membership for The Dementia Care Hub<br>has doubled in the last year and enquiries<br>have increased including people from<br>outside of Hampshire wanting to engage<br>with our service.<br>Members quotes:<br>Seeing dad laugh again, sing again, engage<br>in so many activities & form so many new<br>friendships has been a turning point for us<br>as a family in learning to live with dementia<br>in a positive way (Tanya – daughter)<br>I had nothing until I found you, I just wish I<br>had found you earlier. We now have Totton,<br>Calmore, Fareham and Portchester.  We<br>are launching Waterside in July 2024<br>and are in talks to open a Portsmouth<br>Hub by January 2025<br>2.<br>To maintain the bank balance at given<br>levels each month – achieved bank<br>balance targets in 7 of the 9 months<br>monitored.  The 2 months where we<br>didn’t achieve the target were discussed,<br>action was taken to address the financial<br>deficit by eliminating costs and improving<br>donations and revenue.|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the 8 months ended 31 March 2024. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
