## Objectives and Activities 

The objective of Mr Klex’s Academy Polish School in Bicester is to advance the education of children and young people by providing supplementary education that promotes Polish language, culture, history and heritage. The charity serves families in Bicester and surrounding areas and delivers education aligned with the Polish core curriculum, adapted to the needs of children growing up in a bilingual and multicultural environment. 

## Achievements and Performance 

During the reporting period, the charity focused on consolidating and developing its educational provision following the initial launch of activities. 

## Educational Activities 

The curriculum continued to develop and was expanded to include: 

- ●Polish language development through vocabulary-building activities, reading and writing tasks 

- ●Introduction to Polish History and Geography 

- Sensory and rhythmic activities supporting early development 

- Brain gym and concentration-based exercises 

- ●Activities supporting visual perception and fine motor skills 

Teachers observed clear improvement in reading skills and noticeable improvement in handwriting, particularly among pupils who attended regularly. 

## Pupil Attendance and Participation 

Attendance varied throughout the year, reflecting the supplementary nature of the provision and individual family circumstances. At different points during the reporting period, the school supported between two and six pupils at any one time , aged from 3 to 11 years . 

Despite the small cohort size, pupil engagement was strong, and consistent attendance was linked to measurable educational progress. The school received both 



formal and informal enquiries throughout the year, with trustees noting growing interest in the provision, including enquiries from the wider local community beyond Polish-speaking families. 

## Cultural and Community Activities 

The charity placed strong emphasis on cultural education and community building. Activities included: 

- ●Individual birthday celebrations for each pupil 

- ●Polish Independence Day 

- ●St Nicholas Day (Miko ajki)ł ●Christmas and New Year celebrations 

- ●Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparents’ Day ●Valentine’s Day ●All Saints’ Day 

- ●First Day of Spring ●International Children’s Day 

These activities supported pupils’ confidence, sense of belonging and connection to Polish heritage. 

## Partnerships and Collaboration 

During the reporting period, the charity maintained and developed cooperation with several organisations supporting education and Polish language development, including: 

- ●Tesco Superstore Bicester (in-kind support) 

- ●Polish Educational Society 

- ●ORPEG – The Centre for the Development of Polish Education Abroad 

- ●IRJP – Institute for the Development of the Polish Language 

- ●OPA Oxford 

These partnerships supported the delivery of activities and strengthened links with the local and wider Polish community. 

## Financial Summary 

During the reporting period, the charity’s main source of income was tuition fees . The charity also received in-kind donations in the form of stationery and educational materials. No fundraising activities or grants were undertaken during the period. 

The charity’s income and expenditure for the period are as follows:

- ●Classroom rent at The Bicester School: £2.170.00 

- ●Educational resources: £16.84

Total Expenditure: £2690.58 

Net Position for the Period: Surplus of £42.42 

## Voluntary Contributions 

All staff and trustees contributed their time and expertise voluntarily, with many covering costs personally to support the charity’s operations during its initial phase. 

## Governance and Management 

During the reporting period, changes occurred within the trustee body. Some trustees stepped down, and one new trustee joined. At the end of the reporting period, the charity was managed by two trustees : 

- Ms Kamilla Wrona, Head Trustee 

- Ms Aneta Kucinska - Trustee 

- Ms Dorota Rudawska, Trustee 

Ms Wrona and Ms Rudawska are also teachers, actively engaging with students and parents each week to discuss progress and improvements. Trustees continued to meet regularly to review provision, monitor progress and plan future developments. 

The most significant strategic decision taken during the year was the decision to continue operating the school despite financial pressures related to venue hire costs , in order to ensure continuity of education and support for pupils and families. 

## Custodian Funds 

The charity holds no funds as a custodian trustee. 

## Legal and Regulatory Compliance 



Mr Klex’s Academy Polish School in Bicester complied fully with all legal and regulatory requirements during the reporting period, including: 

- ●Enhanced DBS checks for all staff working with children 

- ●Comprehensive safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and equality policies 

- ●Appropriate public liability insurance covering all activities 

No safeguarding or operational incidents were reported during the period. 

## Plans for the Future 

The charity aims to continue consolidating its provision while responding to growing interest from families. 

Future plans include: 

- ●increasing pupil numbers where capacity allows, 

- ●expanding the range of activities offered, 

- ●strengthening community engagement and partnerships, 

- ●exploring sustainable funding options to support long-term stability. 

This report reflects the charity’s achievements, challenges and ongoing commitment during the reporting period. The trustees remain dedicated to advancing the charity’s objectives and supporting pupils in a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
