In extending the charity’s**<br>**objects, and becoming a CIO, the former**<br>**charity has been modernised with the**<br>**aim of better serving its community.**<br>**During the financial period April 24 to**<br>**March 25 transition to the CIO was**<br>**completed and steps taken to transfer**<br>**insurance, assets and land. The charity**<br>**has worked to fulfil its objectives in**<br>**advancing the Christian faith and**<br>**serving the local community in Great**<br>**Gransden and the surrounding area.**<br>**New trustees have been appointed, and**<br>**a change in Chair has taken place,**<br>**bringing renewed vision and leadership.**<br>**The trustees have met regularly**<br>**throughout the year to oversee**<br>**governance, strategic planning, and**<br>**operations.**<br>**The Christian café has remained a**<br>**central expression of the charity’s**|

With regular café sessions,**<br>**seasonal events such as the Christmas**<br>**service and craft fayres, and a wide**<br>**range of community-based activities**<br>**including quiet/prayer days, visiting**<br>**groups, Lego Church, painting**<br>**workshops, Alpha Course, and a Lent**<br>**Group, the café has grown as a hub of**<br>**connection and spiritual exploration.**<br>**The café regularly caters for over 40**<br>**people, supported by a committed team**<br>**of 12 volunteers.**<br>**These activities have made a meaningful**<br>**difference to the lives of local people.**<br>**The café and its events have helped**<br>**build and nurture a sense of belonging,**<br>**providing a safe and welcoming**<br>**environment for all generations. This**<br>**has contributed significantly to**<br>**countering loneliness, offering pastoral**<br>**care and companionship, and opening**<br>**opportunities for spiritual engagement**<br>**and Christian outreach.**<br>**The charity’s work has also had broader**<br>**social benefits. By promoting**<br>**intergenerational relationships,**<br>**encouraging creativity, and fostering**<br>**supportive networks, it has contributed**<br>**positively to community wellbeing. The**<br>**Christian ethos underpinning all activity**<br>**offers a consistent message of hope,**<br>**kindness, and service.**<br>**Safeguarding remains a key priority. We**<br>**continue to operate under the guidance**<br>**and support of Gamlingay Baptist**<br>**Church (GBC), with up-to-date policies,**<br>**training, and practices in place.**<br>**During this period the charity has**<br>**planned to improve the meeting house**<br>**by:**<br>**1. Having the electrical systems**<br>**checked and certified as safe, including**<br>**carrying out remedial work.**<br>**2. Having the macerator serviced**<br>**3. Starting work on replacing the**<br>**guttering and improving the drainage.**<br>**4. Starting to think about fundraising for**<br>**the remainder of the work.**<br>**5.
