Another example is the Santa Sleigh<br>that is taken around the streets of<br>Scarborough at Christmas time.<br>From these donations a wide range of<br>groups are helped in a variety ways.<br>Examples of those residents to benefit are<br>children and young people, the elderly,<br>people with disabilities, other<br>charities or voluntary bodies.<br>In addition we raise funds via the generous<br>donations given by general public during the<br>various activities held by the Club. 100% of<br>those donations go to Charitable Causes as<br>deemed by a majority vote of the whole Club<br>and ratified by the Trustees. Monies from<br>charitable donations are never used for the<br>“running” of the Club, all members are<br>volunteers and pay a yearly subscription for<br>that use.|

Specialist dyslexia<br>pens. Special IPAD and APPS for child with<br>communications difficulties.<br>Disability equipment from wheelchairs to<br>safety rails etc. This has included specialist<br>wheelchair equipment to enable greater<br>mobility and independence for particular<br>individuals.<br>Funding monthly music therapy sessions for<br>children with communications difficulties.<br>Providing on a regular basis transport via the<br>Clubs minibus to schools, nursing homes<br>and local disability organisations.<br>To maintain an open door policy to welcome<br>any member of the public to join our Lions<br>Club to increase membership and broaden<br>our scope.|
