ThE FIRST TWO YEARS
If the first year was a Ilttle blt challenglng due a few personal and •nvlfonmen
rtss(M, the second has been more or less the reverse. The flne and rellable weather has allowed
a backlog of exterfor malntenance to be most pleasantly brought up to date, ditto a continulng re•

The decision was made mid Winter to return Wimborne Model Town- s actual archive, It.
had been housed here and had allowed much work to be done. As It Is now In house, their house,
the hope Is that somebody else local will now get involved. A full End of Temi report was
presented to accompany the previously complled Notes from the Archlves and Retail Therapy,
These 70 plus fully Illustrated and annotsted A4 pages covered 50 closely identified subjects
relevant to the Model Town and its relationship with the real town. These could not have been
produced without the considerable help of the Museum of East Dorset. The majority of the
subjects majored on the 1950s, the Model Town" s founding decade.
"rinkleford" Miniature Dorset Village at Swanage continues to move forward with an

After a very much . hands-on" year the coming season is scheduled to be publication
orlentsted, all almed specifically to enhance the educational aspect of the Archive. Prlority should
be quallty Introductlons to our Interest 2 Bulldlng Toys and Interest 3 Ornamental and Collectable..
The steady Inward flow of . new" material during 2025 will have a marked effect on both.
