## **Summary of the Main Activities Undertaken for the Public Benefit**

During the year, Halpin Hand focused on establishing a strong foundation to deliver our charitable objectives effectively. As a newly formed CIO, our initial activities centred on developing governance structures, adopting key policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This included the opening of dedicated charity bank accounts, implementing financial controls, and carrying out appropriate due diligence to safeguard charitable funds.

Building relationships with other local charities and community organisations was a key priority. We engaged with partners to better understand local needs and to identify opportunities for collaboration and support.

Our principal charitable activity this year was providing critical support to the Middlewich & District Foodbank during the winter months. Halpin Hand made a direct donation of £600 in food vouchers, enabling the foodbank to offer immediate assistance to individuals and families facing hardship. This contribution helped to alleviate food poverty in our community and provided much-needed relief to those most vulnerable during a challenging period.

Through these activities, Halpin Hand has demonstrated a clear commitment to public benefit by supporting those in need, fostering community partnerships, and laying the groundwork for future charitable initiatives.

## **Summary of the Main Achievements of the Charity During the Year**

In our first year, Halpin Hand established strong governance and operational foundations, developed partnerships with local organisations, and provided £600 in food vouchers to support families in need through the Middlewich & District Foodbank. These achievements have enabled us to begin making a positive impact in our community.
