AII Trustees are non-paid volunteers and do not take expenses from the Trust. They all take part in the various activities of the trust.
The Board of Trustees have set up a management committee (which includes all the Trustees) to help manage the affairs of the Trust. The respective roles of the Management Committee and The Board of Trustees and indeed the decision-making powers are specified in the THE MUSLIM CENTRE Constitution.
The Management Committee & Board of Trustees hold regular meetings
It is during these meetings that important and major Trust activities and expenditure decisions are taken to provide total transparency. To enable the day-to-day management and execution of actions based on those Trust Board decisions a management structure is approved by the Board of Trustees to include the following:

The Chair of Trustees alone can take a decision on urgent matters and on matters agreed before hand by the Board of Trustees for the management committee to action. - a) To advance the religion of Islam [whilst adhering strictly to the AhlusSunnah-Wal-Jama'ah (necessarily in alignment with the Hanafi Fiqh only) according to Ulama-e-Deoband as described in their book “Almohanned Alal Mufannad”.]

b) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare, education, recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.

c) To preserve and protect health and relieve poverty, distress, sickness and infirmity amongst persons resident in Derby, Burton, Nottingham and Mansfield and the surrounding areas, without distinction of sex or of political or religious opinions or of racial ethnic or national origins.

During the year, the Trust undertook a much-needed refurbishment of the side hall, which serves as the primary venue for educational and community classes. This improvement was essential to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all attendees, including children, women, and elderly members of the community. The refurbishment included repairs, redecoration, and upgrading facilities to make the space more accessible and suitable for a variety of uses.

These works directly support the charitable objectives of the Trust by enhancing the quality and accessibility of our educational and community services, thereby promoting learning, social cohesion, and well-being. In planning and carrying out these activities, the trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, ensuring that our work continues to serve the needs of the community effectively and inclusively.

The target area of benefit is Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire and the wider community overall. The area of practice is expected mainly to cover Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield and Burton On Trent.

The charity's activities will include the provision of places for Islamic religious activities such as daily prayers & Friday Sermons, general charitable purposes, education and training for the Local Muslim community and promoting religious harmony in the wider community. The means will include primarily the provision of buildings, services, facilities and materials. This will also include advocacy, advice and information.

Section D Achievements and performance
This year, the charity completed a much-needed refurbishment of the Summary of the main side hall, improving the space used for classes and community events. achievements of the charity We continued to offer regular educational sessions, including Qur'an and during the year Islamic studies classes for both children and adults. Key religious events, including Ramadan, were marked with well-attended programmes, helping to bring the community together.

The charity does not maintain large reserves. A small balance is kept in Brief statement of the the bank to help cover any planned refurbishments or future projects. The charity’s policy on reserves trustees regularly review the charity’s financial position to ensure essential costs are met and funds are used effectively for the benefit of the community. | I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended31 / 08 / 2024. As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. |
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
