Transfomiation For Education was registered as a charity in July 2023
We are focussed on changing the lives of the orphaned and most ￿￿lnerable children in Monze. a
town in the Southern Province of Zambia by enabling them to access education and training.
Our aim is to provide the '"Complete Package"
We wani to give an opportunity for those children least likely to 80 to school to enr()18t
PIZZ school.
We fund PIZZ School: covering all costs that cannoi be funded locally. including staff
wages, maintenance, registration costs, consumable5 and school development.
We pay for school meals for all students and unifomis and shoes where families cannot
afford to buy them.
We pay for extra food for the children who are HIV* because without it the Antiretroviral
dnigs can be harniful.
We cover some medical costs for the children and families where needed.
We aim to cover costs for extra education or training after students leave PIZZ School to go
to local secondary schools or college5.
We aim io cover the cost of providing practical skills where perhaps students are less
academically inclined.
In short we aim to provide whatever funds are needed ￿ enable the most disadvantaged children to
ontinue in education or training and have the best possible opporniniry tt) gain employment and lift
them, their families and community Out of poverty.
PIZZ is more than a school. It is a project ￿thIeh has always wanted to provide the complete
package.
Transfomation Through Education works very closely with PIZZ through Mrs Sianga (the found¢r
of PIZZ School), her team and the school staff. In 2025 Chris Barrell (Trustee) spent months in
Monze, from the end of August until the end of October. leaving shortly after celebrating
Independence Day ai PIZZ School ￿1th the children and staff.
Transfom]ation Through Education has no paid staff and the Trustres have claimed no expenses
during 2025.

2025 M'as a year of progress at PIZZ School. For the firn lime there were students in PIZZ
Secondary forTn l. The foundations for the new Science Laboratory were laid just before the rainy
season began.
The examination results for PIZZ School were exceptional in 2025. 100 % of children at PIZZ
hool who took grade 7 exams passed (5 ￿ere unable to sii the exams) and 82 % who sat grade 9
exams gained certificates (5 students out of the class of 61 were unable to sit their grade 9 exams).
PIZZ School also provided their facilities as an examination centre to enable a further 17 students
from other schools io sit their grade 7 examinations.
The rains in Zambia were poor in 202412025 resulting in high prices for the local staple food, maize
meal. Increased costs were another challenge that the school met during 2025. The need for free
school meals felt even more as a result of even greater dI￿lcultieS for the students, families at
home. The rains arrived on time at the end of October and it looks like the haTrest in 2026 will be
much better than in 2025.
Initial steps have been taken in Monze to explore the possibility of registering PIZZ as a local Non
Governmentsl Organisation (NGO).

Despite being such a new charity Transf0M￿tIOn Through Edu¢ation able to support the new
venwres and provide the nece&wy funding.

In 2026 the Science Laboratory needs to be completed and equipped. Secondary school forn1 2 will
take the swdents previously in forni l and another teacher will be employed.
In the last six months of 2025 Let Yoursclf Trust ¢hos¢ us as thelr partner. The singer songwriter
Martvn Jos¢ph, who fornied the charitv with his wife Justine: promoted Transformation Through
Education at all of his perfonnances. IA'e will receive a sizeable donation early in 2026 from Let
Yourself Trust. This will enable us to enrol some fonner PIZZ students to do professional and
practical courses, as well as ensuring that all children needing unifornis and shoes will have them in
2026.
We are aware that there are still students who have qualified to go to college or university that we
cannot fund at the moment. In furure we want to be able to enable more swdents to enrol and
it)crease the 5UPPOrt to former PIZZ students.
We also want to be able to ensure that all children have uniforn)s and shoes.
As the school develops the secondary school there will be a need for additional cl&ssrooms and
fiffther enhancem¢nts to th¢ infrastructure.

We are very proud of our achievements to date which could only be achieved in close partnership
with PIZZ. Our ambitions are big, we are determined to rransfonn the lives of the children, their
families and the community in Monze.
