CHAIRMANS REPORT TO TRUSTEES AGM 2025

2025 was an busy year for the CCA with the chair acting as the contact point with legal representatives and Project Leads for the relief road, football club pitch development & football club lease .During the year the CCA engaged Michelmore solicitors to act for us [Ashford’s were already representing the sport clubs so a conflict of interests].Project planning etc has fully involved CCA and up to now all pre agreements have been met . Events during Year

Following a serious medical event the Fair was unable to attend .We hosted the Exeter dog show at May Bank holiday with a good revenue return .there was a summer event hosted by Town Council with a fee received for field hire .A charity event for Devon Air Ambulance was organised by a member of the

community .Additionally several community one off free events were welcomed & the football club held several 6 a side tournaments .

Volunteers have kindly been involved clearing several fallen trees -storm damage ,grass cutting ,litter picking & of course our tree planter extraordinary Penny Marshall and her friends who organised the rescue of the oak trees from the old path section to their new location with the help of Richard Batten .

Much time was spend attending meetings and walking the CCA with project team members, ecologists & contractors to ensure we are getting what was promised in the original agreement .I will give an update at end of meeting of what has happened since end of 2025 .Again thanks to our trustees for their support & co operation with the welter of emails and requests for approval when requested .
