TRUSTEES REPORT
The Trustees present their report and the accounts for the year ended 31st March
2025.
The objects of th8 charty are as stated previously.
The charity is governed by the Trustees who meet 6 times per year and as and
when the need arises to provide for the welfar8 of Wesleyan Reform Union
Retired Ministers, and their wives.
There have been no material changes in the activrties of the Gharity.
Similady there has been no thanges in the Investment policy. whi¢h remains to
maximise the rate of retum from Investments to ensure income 18 available,
sufficient to meet the objects of the charity
The Reserves policy of the Gharrty is to try and maintain sufficient funds Currently
held in a Building Society Account to meet the objects of the charity-
The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis and are in
accordance with the provisions of the Charity (A¢￿unt5 and Report8 Regulations}
1996. the Statement of Recommended Practice Accounting by Charrties and
applicable accounting standards.

Charity law réquires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial
year, whi¢h give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of its
financial activities for that period. and adequately distinguish any material special
trust or other restricted fund of the charily. In prepanng ihose financial statements
the trustees are required to..
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.,

make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent,.
state whether the policies adopted are in accordance with the appropriate
SORP on Accounting by Charities and the Accounting Regulations and
with applicable accounting standards, subject to any material departures
disclosed and explained in the financial stat8m8nts.' gnd

prepare the financial statements on the goirvJ COn￿M basis unless it 1$
inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting recorts which disdose,
with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charrty, and enable
them to ensure that the finanoal statements comply with applicable Accounting
Standards and Statements of Recommended Practice and the regulations made
under SeGtion 44 of the Chanties Act 1993. They are also responsible for

safeguarding the assets of the charity and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the
prevention and detection of fraud or other irregularities.
