As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. you consider
that the audit requirement of section 43(2) of Charites Act 1993 (the Act) does not apply. It is
my responsibility to state, on the basis of the procedures specified in the General Directions

My examination was ￿?￿led out in accordance with th¢ Gcncral Dircctors 8iY¢n by th¢
Charity CommissioneTS. An examination includes a Teview of the accounting records kept by
the charity and a compaTison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any Unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations
from you as irub'(r¥s WliLcrning any such mallers. The procedures underraken do not provid¢
all the evidence that would be required in an audi¢ and consequently I do not express an audit
opinton on the vi¢w given by the accounts.

ststement of Trustees, responsibilltles
The Board of Trustees has overall responsibility for ensuring The Board of Trustees are
responsible for preparing the Annual Report and the f￿￿1claI statements in accordance with
applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Charity law applicable to charities in Englandwales requires the Board of Trustees to
prepare
financial statements for each fll)ancial year which gives a true and fair view of the state of
affairs of the ChaTity and of the surplus or deficit of the Charity for thai period. In prepaTing
those financial statements the Board of Trustees have:
Sel¢cted suitable accounting policies and applied them consistently.
Made judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent,
ststed whether applicable accounting standards have been followed. subject to any
materlal departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and
Prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis (unless it is inappropriate
to presume that the Charity wtll continue in operation that the ChaTity has an
appropriate system of Controls. financial and otherwise.
They are also responsible for keeping proper accounting r¢cords which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and enable them
to ensure that the financial statements comply with the ChaTities Act 1993. They are
also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the detection and prevention of fraud and other irregulatities.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the
corporate and fmancial infornMtion. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the
preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in
other jurisdictions.

Qperated a food bank by donating food item5 to the homeless and those facing flnanclal difficultin8
on a monthly basi5 In Manchester Cty Centre and the neighbouring counclls.
