1.Objectives and Activities

Minhaj Alazhary was establishedto advance the Islamic faith and relieve poverty for the benefit of the public.The charity provides religious education and Qur’an classes for children andadults, community outreach, humanitarian aid in the UK and abroad, and trainingthrough the Islamic Nadi / Minhaj Alazhary Academy.

2.Achievements and Performance

During this period, the charityadvanced educational, charitable, and community missions by delivering freeQur’an classes to 150+ students, hosting da’wah programmes, distributing foodparcels and zakat funds, funding educational projects in Egypt and Pakistan,and purchasing educational and media equipment to enhance academy learning.

3.Financial Review

The charity’s financial supportis derived from individual and community donations, zakat and sadaqahcontributions, and targeted assistance for educational and charitable projectsboth in the UK and overseas. The charity also occasionally receivesinternational support from donors abroad who contribute to educational andrelief initiatives. All funds are managed transparently and used solely for theregistered charitable purposes. Every transaction is supported by documentationand reviewed by the accountant before inclusion in final statements. No trusteereceives any financial remuneration, and all work is performed voluntarily. Thecharity is developing a reserves policy to ensure long-term sustainability andfinancial stability.

4.Structure, Governance and Management

The charity is governed by itsConstitution (CIO Foundation model). The trustees oversee governance, finances,and project execution. Board of Trustees: Abdelnadi Mahmoud (Chair), Zoya Amar,Umar Majeed, Shahid Bashir, Zeinab Ibrahim. Policies include financial control,safeguarding, risk management, and volunteer management. The charity does notown property.

5.Public Benefit Statement

All activities benefit thepublic, providing religious education, community support, and humanitarianrelief without discrimination. The trustees confirm compliance with the CharityCommission’s guidance on public benefit.

6.Plans for the Year Ahead (2025–2026)

Plans include expanding Qur’anand Islamic studies to 300 students, launching accredited online courses,supporting orphan and education projects abroad, initiating youth developmentin Birmingham, and strengthening financial transparency.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF MINHAJ ALAZHARY

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Global Aid Care for the year ended 31 December 2024.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011(‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

Accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or The accounts do not accord with those records; or

The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view’ which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. Accounting Policies

The principal accounting policies adopted by the Charity, which is a public benefit entity, in the preparation of the accounts are as follows.

1.1 Basis of preparation

These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention, as modified by the inclusion of charitable properties and fixed asset investments and investment properties at valuation.

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with “Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)” (effective 1 January 2019) - (Charities SORP (FRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011.

These accounts are presented in pounds sterling and rounded to the nearest pound.

1.2 Going concern

The Trustees have prepared financial projections, taking into consideration the current economic conditions and have, at the time of approving these accounts, a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus they continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the accounts.
