Achievements and Performance
SORP refe￿nCe
For the 2023-2024 season, Thunder Ice
Hockey Club collaborated with school
PTAS to help them raise vital funds aimed
at enriching students, experiences. We also
welcomed more young players from the MK
Storm Junior Club, providing Ihem with
valuable training and playing opportunities.
With a growing number of neurodiverse
players, our volunteers made a concerted
effort to educate themselves and one
anolher, on creating a safe and inclusive
environment, while making reasonable
adjuslments to support their needs. All
volunteers working directly with players
have undergone DBS checks, as well as
training in first aid, safeguarding, and
GDPR Compliance.
To support our players, we provided free
coaching, ice time, travel for away games,
and healthy food. Where possible, we also
supplied equipment and helped with kit
maintenance, ensuring that financial
barriers did not prevent participation.
All players re9lStered with the junior club
are also given a complimentary season
ticket, which allows them free entry into all
home games.
NHS staff conlinue to receive discounted
entry to our games and we have also
donated free tickets and jerseys for raffle
prizes to support other charities. In
addition, tickets were distributed to families
and individuals facing financial difficulties,
ensuring that more people could enjoy the
sport.
This season, we proudly participated in
Pride Week. making a stand that our sport
is for everyone.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity's work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a

Financial Review
Review of Ihe charity's
financial position at the end
of tho period
Para 1.21
The financial position of the club is exactly
as we expected from our first year as a
charity. We are satisfied that we've had
sufficient funds to operate our activities and
will continue to do so in subsequent years.
Unforeseen financial issues we came
across, were our title {main sponsor) pulling
out last minute. following a change in their
management, which left us with no lime to
find another. Secondly, additional charges
{per each home game) were introduced by
our landlord for 'ulilily costs,, which came
about due to the cost of living crisis. Our
game season ends during March, with
couple of training sessionsltrials taking
place in April. Plans are also in place to
grow our merchandise sales and streaming
platform. which appears to be growing in
popularity WFth both away and home fans.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22
We hold very little reseTves throughout the
closed season. There are no unexpected
costs coming in between the months of
April and end of Julylbeginning of August.
Existing sponsorsldonors. along with new,
tend to pledge their sUPPOrt during the
months of July and August. Others pledge
