‘The Door to the Kingdom of God’ – John 10:9 _WARLINGHAM VILLAGE HALL_ ## **El Ministries International Church (EMIC) 2023 Review: Year of Divine Advancement** The year 2023 was tagged as EMIC’s year of Divine Advancement in accordance with Deuteronomy 2:36 and commenced with our Women’s ministry – Crowned, hosting an online pajama party. The focus of the session was to equip women in our church, local and international communities to achieve divine wholistic health. We discussed our vision for the year, prioritising self-care and understanding our identity as we journey to becoming the woman God called us to be. Following the Crowned event, the ministry started our 21-day prayer and fasting from 8[th] to 29[th] January as we sought the Lord for the pattern, He wanted our ministry to follow this year. In alignment with the mission’s arm of our ministry, supplies were sent to Malawi and Jamaica and the recipients sent a video on the 19[th] January expressing their deepest gratitude. On the 21st January, we hosted a Crowned Breakfast at the Beefeaters restaurant. Fifteen women were in attendance and were encouraged and empowered by Rev. Dr. Joan Myers OBE using her missions experience as reference. The first event for February was a Crowned Online Coffee Morning on the 4[th] February. This session provided women with an outlet to explore and create a plan of action in relation to the vision they received from God for the year. On the 18th February, our resident Pastor, Pastor Sydonnie Wellington ministered at an Intercessors Workshop hosted by Faith Tabernacle in Banbury. Following this event, Minister Lavern Greenaway visited our church to be the guest speaker in our service titled ‘Holy Spirit Fire Sunday’. Min Greenaway spoke to the church on the need for the power of the Holy Ghost to be active in our lives anchored on Ephesians 5: 18 – 20 and Matthew 5: 6. The month concluded with our Family and Friends Feast day on the 26[th] where members from the church, their family and wider community were able to fellowship during service and for lunch. The month of March, known as Women’s Month, saw Crowned hosting a follow up Coffee morning session on the 4[th] to support women in unpicking what it means to be ‘A Woman of Vision’ anchored on Proverbs 31: 12 – 29. The leadership team had their workshop on the 9[th] where the five-member team explored what it meant to be a leader, protocols and culture of the church and the next steps for the ministry. Our first baptismal service was held over a 2 day period. Testimonies of the candidates and prayers over their life were done 17[th] and, on the 18th, saw six children of God outwardly expressing their dedication to the Most High God and beginning of a new life in water baptism. We thank God for His hand in their life. Mother’s Day service on the 19[th] was a celebration of all the women in the ministry and saw the crowning of two women – Wise woman (>30 years) and Esther Crown (29 and younger in age). These women were chosen by the members of the Crowned International as women they admire and believe needed to be celebrated. To culminate the month of March, EMIC went into another fasting and consecration period in preparation for our upcoming Anniversary weekend. This period of consecration was from 29th March to the 4th April. EMIC’s Anniversary service entitled “From Death to Life” was supported by visiting ministers: Bishop Neil Roach, Bishop William Ellis and Bishop Ian Patterson Sharpe from 7th - 9th April. It was three days of celebration and impartation as we gave the Lord thanks for all He had done so far in our midst. After the service on the 9[th] , church family had a meal together then headed to the nearby Mercure Dartford hotel for an overnight stay for our Family fellowship and getaway. The EMIC women went to Fortify Retreat on the 26th to 28th May. This was hosted by The Beauty Within women’s group from another ministry. The retreat was held at East Sussex National Hotel Resort and provided an avenue for women to relax, be pampered, fellowship and most importantly be spiritually fed. June, our Month of Humilty, was anchored on prayer and fasting as well as Bible study sessions on Intercession and Worship. Bishop Niel Roach and Minister Taonga Ngoleka (from Malawi) were guest speakers during these Bible study sessions. We were also humbled to be apart of the Warlingham community’s Village Fair on the 17[th] June which provided an additional evangelism opportunity as well as familiarising ourselves with the different ministries, businesses and members in the community. Our final event for June, was our Father’s Day service on the 18[th] June where men in our ministry were celebrated and encouraged as they continue to pursue lives patterned and governed by our Heavenly Father. The next four months saw our church in more sessions of congregational prayer and fasting as we continued our pursuit of surrender to God: 25th July - 1st August - Congregational fasting and prayer to break the assignments and plans of the enemy September – 30 days of prayer and fasting anchored on Daniel 11:32 – “But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits “ 16th - 22nd October - 7 days Fasting and Prayer for the Nations and Body of Christ In addition to the aforementioned events, a bible quiz was held during our Friday meeting time on 4[th] August, our first 1[st] Fruits Sunday on the 6[th] August where members of the church were gifted with food items and fellowship and dinner at a lake and hall respectively in Redhill on the 20[th] of August. On the 3rd November another EMIC Family and Friends Feast Friday was held. This was the only event for November. Our final women’s event for year was held on the 8[th] of December. This ‘Time of restoration’ was a worship and intercession service in partnership with Women of Virtue; another women’s ministry in the body of Christ. Our first Christening service was held on 10th December where we dedicated one of the young ones in our ministry to God. The remaining services in December were as follows: 17th December - Carol Service 19th December - Final Tuesday morning prayers for the year 29th December - Thanksgiving service 31st December - Watchnight service We give God thanks for all He has done in our year of Divine Advancement; for every answered prayer, instructions, and teachings we have been blessed to receive.
