Our 10.30am service saw an average of 36 people auending in person each week12023= 351. The Four is our service specifically airrted at children and families- the average attendance wa$ 2712023-. 281- We continLre to offer the option of Zoom at the 10.30am for those who find it difficult to attend the church in persork. We baptised 15 children12023'. 61 arbd led 4 funerals12023- 81 enabling U5 the opportunÈty to support families through l&fe events. We also introduced a new morrthly worship and prayer meeting. Spedal Services We had a wonderful Earter celebration servKe wtth both services combining and 74 people attending12023= 941. The childyen particularly enjoyed the Easter E88 hunt after the sèrvice! Our Harvest and Remembrance service5 were well attendèd. We welcomed members from the local beavers. ctjbs and scout's groups on Remembrance Sunday. Our Crib & Christin8le servÉce on Christmas Eve was a joyFtJl service a5 we recounted the first Christmas and celebrated Jesus. the light of the world. Chtldren, parents, grandparents and carer5 joined the celebrations. Lent Course and Summer Sern￿n Series We revi5Fted the Prayer Course. journeying together onlinè through Lent and for a few weeks afterwards as we Spent time learning more about prayer and specifically how to pray. We also spent nine weeks taking a fresh look at the Fruit of Spirit, this was our summer semion series at both the 10.30am and The Four. Church Evet)ts St Peterfs & Metlden Tots We launched St Peterfs Tots in January and Meriden Tots in June. St Peterfs Tots meets tn the church hall and Meriden Tots in the local communty tentre. In term time. each week we welcome parents and carers with their tots to orje of oui groups for play. craft. refreshments. Story and singing time. The groups provide us with a fantastic opportunity to serve our community and to build relation5hÉp5. We ore very thankful for our tots. volunteers who help set up. tidy away and load car5 each week. First Frid First Friday started at the beginning of March. First Friday meets monthly. provldes ? warm space ènd an opportunity for over 50.5 to come together for friendly conversation- to play boardgame5 and read the new5pèper. whÉLst hawng a cup of tea of coffee. We a￿0 make time to share a brief thoughtfor the day and to seTve a light lunch. Craft We continued to fac*litate a uaft mornin8 On￿ a month for the church family and wider community. An opportunity to brtng along your own craft project, to encourage each other and enjoy refrÈshments. Hollday Club & Light Party We hosted our three-day holiday Club at the end of August. This was a new missional artivity a5 we wèlcomed children from the church family and the community for three mornings of games, craft, worship, Bible study and fun. Our knght Party vjas extremely well attended with over 60 12023= 301 childien. parents and carers attending. Includin8 ladies, breakfèsts. church lunche5. our sponsored SK egg hunt around the parish raising funds for Growing Together. Plus, OUT summer canal boat day trip. fundraising quiz night with fish and chips, Christmas pudding making evening anct our Chiistma5 socÈal. Churth Hall The church hall is in regular use nol only wtth our church èctiwties. but it is also used by local group5. Including, 21 WatFord Brownies. Meriden CommunÉty Choir. Noise Makers. Seated Exercise arkd Sceptre Aneling. The h311 was also hired for many children's birthday parties. All the above actI￿tieS have furtherèd our links with our local community. Growlng Together Growing Together is the name for our church hall building projert which we launched in Apttl 2023. God hBS given us an incredible vision to become a hub for the local community. The plan is to knock down the exithng church hall and to build a Rew church centre and hall with offices. tchen. toilets and meeting rooms. We a150 plan to sell part of the land for two houses to be buitt. The total projett will cost £1.3m. Planning permission and a DAC faculty for the projett were granted In July and September. We 5tsrted to work with a fundraising consultsRt in the latter half of the year to keep the project moving forward. Deanery and Ecumenlcal Relationships St Peterfs is aft art?ve member of Deanery Chapter and Synod. Churthes Together in WatFord and Christians Across Watford.
