Peace Welfare Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Charity Number: 1203814 Year Ending: 15 July 2025 Reference: AR25-REM-CIO-2c Trustees, Annual Report 1. Objectives and Activities The objectives of the charity are: The relief of financial hardship among people granted refugee status and their dependants living temporarily or permanently in the United Kingdom. To provide education and training opportunities. To assist beneficiaries in adapting and integrating into their new communities. To facilitate entertainment, recreation, and social activities for community wellbeing. Main Activities During 2024-2025 During the year, the charity continued to provide practical support and guidance to newly arrived immigrants and refugee families. Our activities included: Providing one-to-one appointments to help individuals and families complete applications relating to education, schools, colleges, social security, housing, driving licences, and other essential services. Assisting approximately 50 families and individuals with basic application processes and referring them to

appropriate organisations and authorities, including local hubs, social services, solicitors, and Members of Parliament (MPS). Supporting newly arrived migrant families in resolving internal family disputes by explaining UK laws, equality rights, and the consequences of unlawful behaviour. Some serious domestic cases were referred to mediators and social services. Several cases were resolved successfully, while one family continues to undergo rehabilitation and assessment. Providing urgent interpretation support in Pashto and Persian languages, particularly for hospital visits and emergency situations. Committee members voluntarily gave their time alongside their self-employment commitments to respond to urgent community needs. Establishing a separate funeral support committee to assist both members and non-members who have no financial support available for funeral expenses. Creating a youth sports team, particularly in cricket, which has shown encouraging performance and engagement among young people. New Developments and Future Plans One of our key achievements this year was building stronger relationships with other charitable organisations and community groups, including Connection, Ummah Community, and the Afghan British Council. Through these partnerships, we are now able to refer clients more effectively and provide wider support services. Many community members have expressed interest in

supporting victims of humanitarian crises and promoting education for deprived communities, particularly girls, education in Afghanistan. As a result, the charity intends to review and amend its charitable objectives in the future to include these causes. The trustees continue to work on a voluntary basis and do not receive salaries or financial benefits from the charity. Current funds remain largely unchanged apart from small additional contributions personally made by committee members. 2.
