Community
-
Cancer Survivors’ Choir – they supported us at several events and we donated £1,000 to help them continue their work
-
Women’s Family Support Centre – throughout the year we have been donating toiletries, hygiene, and household products to the Women’s Refuge on an ongoing basis.

International
-
Ghana – through Ghana Outlook (a UK registered charity) we provided funding for a farming project in Nimbare and Kucheni in the Western Region of Ghana which empowered 20 women in the community whose households are faced with chronic food insecurity, to establish a women’s small animal rearing programme.
-
Ghana – we facilitated a small loan grants scheme in Ghana, with a £1,000 grant from our Rotary District. We worked with Accra Airport Rotary Club who helped to set up 20 small business, all the money has been paid back and a second tranche is now being set up from the initial payment.
-
Rotary Shoebox Scheme – With the support of Barnsley Rotary Club we were proud to be able to dispatch over 60 shoeboxes filled with gifts for distribution to Eastern European countries.
-
Disaster Relief – We once again responded to appeals for help following international conflict and disasters. In September 2023 we organised a Barnsley Town Centre collection in support of ShelterBox and the Morocco Earthquake which raised £750. In May 2024 we also provided £600 in support of a further appeal by ShelterBox in support of the conflict in Gaza.
-
Jamie’s Legacy – was set up to support a children’s charity in the povertystricken slums of Uganda. Education is the only hope for a child to work their way out of the slums but sadly so many families are just trying to survive and unable to pay school fees. Jamie’s Legacy already sponsors over 60 children providing them with life changing opportunities. Stainborough donated £250 to support this work.
