which Iwl been responsibl¢ for mailltaining and operaling the village hall sincc the 1960s.
RecruitmeDt & Appointment of Trustees
Trust¢es are sele¢ted from those living in or near the village of LiEEtoll who are Trilling to servc and support the
ongoing oper&tion and maint¢natLce of the Village Hall.
Orgallisational structure
Tre Trllstees are thc decision-making b(Mly of the Charity subject to the Annual General Meeting. The
4dministratioll of thc Cftwity is Ca￿led out by the Trustees.
Charitable Objects
Thc Villagc Hall is for th¢ use of the inhabitants of Linton artd the neighbourhood Thrythout distinction of sex or
of politicaL religious or other opinioDs and in particular for use for me¢ting4 lectures, classes, 8nd for other
fonns of recreational alld leisure time wcupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said
inhabitartts.

Artivities & Acbievements
Through the effons of the Chartty and its supporters Linton Village Hall is o]Krated as a venue to serve the
local community in line with its ChariTabl¢ Objects.
e Hall may be l)ooked by individuals, group4 clubs and Societies for a wide Tallge of pwsoses. In the period
covered by this report these included use for Yog4 T'ai Chi and Art classes, a Wuvers group, the Linton
Brownies, P￿ISh Council meetings, Linton & District History So¢iety lectures. Church mectillgs, as a walking
¥roup mecting point, birthday parties, christening and fiEncral gatherings, ¢olTcc mornings. the conununity lunch
lub, t quiz & pudding ev¢ning, and exhibition of photogrdphs entttled Linton Now & Th￿L Thc b￿1 is also
hired for use as a Polling Station.
e Hall is the venue for regular commufjity evcllts organtsed by the Colljmittee including Itve D]usic & theatrc
shows, some of which are supported bv Arts Alxve.
To raise additional funds the Committee, wilh ihe help of many volunteers, provided breakfasts at the village
hall and a tea and cakc tent at the annuxI Linton Music Festival over 3 days in July at thc kind invitation of thc
Fcstival comm&ttee as well as tea and cake at tbe Summer Sessions evenL held by the Alma Inn ttself in
Scptember. That￿S go to all th05c who mad¢ our participation in these events possible.
e Hail has received kind donatio￿$ fri>m individual4 the Surnn￿ S¢ssions music event and the local
qon]munity lunch club.
e Tnjstees would like to thank all of our volunteers and helpers, all those who book and use the Hall and
those who 3nend cvcnts which tskc placc there &s it is vAtsI that the building Colltinues to be well used and
njoyed by as wide an audiettce as possible.
Financial Reyieiy

4moullting to £65.865 by transfer, as notified to the Charity Commission in October 2024. and notcd on the

For purposcs of clarity and COEDpanson the income & cxpenditure for the full year from I. Nolember 2023 to
31" October 2024 is shown in the attached Accounts. Of the Nct Income of £1.334 for the full ycar, £1,134
arose before th¢ Transfer of Funds froffj Lillton Village Hall Collllntttee (Cbarity 520967) in Junc 2024 and
£200 arose after the tt2nsfcr and bef¢)re 31" October 2024.
The Encome & Expendttur¢ of previous years ending 31" Octobu was rqK)rted to the Charity Commission by
Linton Village Hall Committec (Char&ty 520967).
Vle attached Accounts show the distinction between Generdl Reserves (held to meet thc generdl operating
expenses of the hall on a daY-t{￿Y basis) and the Property Rcfurbishm¢nt Fuud (beld for the maintenance of
and improvements to the Hall).
At 3 1ST October 2024 the legal ownership of the Hall remained with Lirkton Parish Coullcil pending transfeT of
ownership to the Charity being approved by the 12nd Registry. Beneficial Ownership of the Hall Is vested in the
Charity (and in carlicr years in Lill￿n Villagc Hall Committee- Charity 520967).
