profit organisation registered as a society under SR aci XXI 1860 in India. The purpose of the grant was lor the
promotion of environmentally-ftiendly famiing practices or paddy and wheat including.. 111 sustainable stubble
management or crop residue management and Ibl promoting water saving practices in paddy and wheal crop
through DSR and Zero Tillage.

The Iruslees are satisfied that the Foundation 13 a going concern and able to meet all its future commitment5 a5
and when they fall due.

It is the policy of the trustees to maintain sufficient unrestricted funds and the trustees consider that the level of

The power to appoint new or addrtional trustees is vested in the member.
The number of trustees shall not be less than three.. there is no maximum number of trustee$. All charity trustees
shall be appointed for a term of three years at the end of which they must retire. Upon retirements, the trustees
shall be eligible for re-appoinlmenl lor up lo three con5ttubve lems unless the member is of the opinion that il

The trustees have monftored the impact of the grant made to Manav Vikas Sansthan and are considering how it
can further support the organisation with additional grants, in addition to considering other potential grant
recipients to support in the next finanaal period.

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees. report and the financial statements in accordance with

liability lo contribute to its assets and no personal ￿sponsibl11fy for settling its debts and liabillies. The
charity's registered number is 1203699 and registered office is Missionworks, 41 lffley Road, London, W6

The finanaal slalements have been prePa￿d in ac￿rIance th the Charities SORP IFRS 1021-
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance wth the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffecbve 1 January 20191. the Financial Reportin9 Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the charib.es Act 2011.
The financial slalemenls have been prepared lo give a Irue and fair, view and have departed from
the Charities <A￿0Unt$ and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the exient required to provide a Irue
and fairf view. This departure has involved followng the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published in
October 2019 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Ststemenl ol Recommended

Nice Rice Foundatson meets the definttion of a public benefft entity under FRS 102. A$se18 and
liabilits'e$ are initially re¢ognised at hiSt¢)ri￿1 or transa¢ts'on value unles$ olherwi$e slated in the
relevant accounts'ng policy.
2.2 Income
All income is ￿COgnised once the Charity has enlrtlemenl to the income. il is probable that the
income wll be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
2.3 Exp8ndlturo
Expenditu￿ is rewgnised once there is a legal or Constructive obligation lo transfer economic benefit
lo a third paty. il is probable that a transfer of economic benefits wll be required in settlement and
the amount ol the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs
of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs, includin9 SUPPOrt costs
involved in undertaking each actsvity. Direcl costs attributable to a single activity are allocated directly
lo that activity. Shared costs which contnbule lo more than one activity and support costs which are
not attributable lo a single aclivty are apportioneil between those activities on a basis consistent with
the use of resources. Central stsff costs are allocated on the basis of b'me spent, and depreciation
Charges allocated on the porbon of the asset'$ use.
Expenditure on charitable activrties is incurred on direclly undertaking the aclivf(ies vknich fvrther the
Chanty's objectives, as well as any a550cialed support cost5.
Grants payable are charged in the year when the offer is made except in those cases there the offer
is conditional, such grants being recognised as expenditure when the condits'ons attaching are
fulfilled. Grants offered subject to conditions %thich have not been met at the year end are noted as a
commf(menl, but not accrued as expendrture.

Trade and other deblors are reco9nised at the settlement amount after any trade discount offered.
Prepayments are valued at the amount prepaid net of any trade discounts due.
2.5 Cash at bank and In hand
Cash al bank and in hand includes cash and short-lemi highty liquid investments with a short maturity
of three months or less from the date of acquisits'on or opening of the deposit or similar account.
2.6 Ll*bllltlo9 and provlsions
Liabilities are recognised vthen there is an obligation al the Balance sheet date as a result of a past
event, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefit wll be required in settlement, and the amount
of the Settlement can be estimated reliably.
Liabilities are recognised at the amount that the Chanty anliupates il will pay to settle the debt or the
amount il has received as advanced payments for the goods or Services it musl provide.
Provisions are measured at the best estimate ol the amounts required to Settle the obligation. Where
the effect of the time value of money is material, the provision is based on the present value of those
amounts, discounted at the pre-tax discount rate that reflects the risks specific to the liability. The
unwinding of the diseount is reeognised in the Statement of financial athvilies as a finance Cost.
2.7 Flnanclal Instruments
The Charity only has finan￿al assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently
measured al their settlement value wlh the exception of bank loans which are subsequently
measufe<l al amortised cost using the effective interest melhoLI.
2.8 Fund accountlng
General fijnds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discrets'on of the Trustees in
furtherance of the general objectives of the Charity and which have not been designated for other
purptsses.
