The charity will actively engage and<br>educate using mechanism including but not<br>limited to, portable heritage exhibitions and<br>cultural workshops (carpet weaving, pottery<br>making, leather & silver work). Exposure and<br>participation will encourage tolerance,<br>understanding and enthusiasm for cultural<br>diversity. Additionally, the charity will<br>promote the value of age-old traditions and<br>North African specific “crafting” techniques in<br>offering new insights into environmental<br>sustainability and renewable resourcing.<br>Africa Gate will draw on the knowledge and<br>skills of the older members of the North<br>Africa London community to participate as<br>holders of “cultural heritage” and heritage<br>mentors to younger members of the<br>community. Whenever possible, the charity<br>will develop “archival” resources that can be<br>shared with other charitable organizations,<br>schools, academic research and<br>anthropologists, museums and arts<br>communities to extend the impact of public<br>education, promotion of cultural diversity and<br>acceptance of North African cultural<br>heritage.|
