|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The very nature of a flower and vegetable<br>show is to encourage the sustainable<br>development of local produce, flowers and<br>crafts, celebrate local traditions and engage<br>with all generations through community<br>groups, local schools and youth groups.<br>The focus of the event is on sustainability<br>and low-impact horticulture and floriculture–<br>the craft categories are very much focused<br>on nature, the outdoors and re-use of<br>materials, the arts and literature including<br>themes of culture and local traditions.<br>The organisation’s achievements:<br>•<br>Returned and refreshed the<br>Llangoed Flower Show to Llangoed<br>Village Hall.  After many decades of<br>annual shows it had not taken place<br>for some years<br>•<br>celebrate our local area, ecology<br>and history with wide-ranging<br>categories: Flowers, Flower<br>Arranging, Vegetables and Fruit,<br>Cookery, Preserves, Arts, Crafts<br>and Photography<br>•<br>work with community groups to<br>encourage take-up<br>•<br>encourage youth participation with a<br>dedicated section for multiple age<br>groups in conjunction with local<br>school<br>•<br>work with<br>•<br>create series of community<br>engagement events around our<br>community woodlands (Lleiniog),<br>the Welsh language, creativity,<br>ecological awareness, self-reliance<br>and engagements with nature<br>•<br>students of Ysgol Gynradd<br>Llangoed were led by poet Sian<br>Northey and artist Elen Williams to<br>create poems and artworks inspired<br>by the natural world.<br>•<br>Created a book celebrating Welsh<br>language poetry<br>and the natural world|
