**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT, IN THE HISTORY, ANTIQUITIES, CULTURE, LANGUAGES, LITERATURE, ART, INSTITUTIONS, CUSTOMS AND NATURAL HISTORY OF LIBYA AND NORTHERN AFRICA AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THAT SUBJECT AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS.

**Activities:** Support and undertake research on the history, antiquities, culture, languages, literature, art, institutions, customs and natural history of Libya and Northern Africa;Organise and promote missions to the region for these purposes;Arrange publication of research in these fields and hold lectures and meetings;Publish an annual Journal and other publications concerning the region.
