Sunday Worship
servI￿s are held every Sunday at 10.30am available to all. On the first Sunday we
hold a slightly shorter breakfast servi￿. Several times a year we hold a Family
Celebration servi￿ at 4pm.
Llfe Group
On Wednesday evenings we meet for prayer and Bible Study and on the first
Wednesday of each month we meet earlier and share a meal together.
Top Street Tots
On Tuesdays during term time our group for babies and toddlers meets from 9.30 -
11.OQam with 6- 10 carers and their children attending.
Connect children's groups
On Friday evenings during term tirne we hold iwo groups for childTrn: Mini Connect
for 5 and 6 year olds and Middle Connect for 7 -11 year olds. This year we have had
6 - 10 Minis and 20- 25 Middles. We are affiliated with Urban Saints through whom
we process CBS checks for volunteers.
Wondering about God
On Wednesdays during temi time we hold a mid-week group from 11am- 12.30pm
for ladies which includes Bible teaching. testimonies and discussion.
Ladles and men's dlnners
Once each term we arrange a ladies dinner and a men's cury night with 20- 30
attending. At each dinner we have a guest speaker who will share a testimony or
give teaching. The dinners regularly attract guests with no faith.
Breakout groups
Two groups have been established where those interested in exploring faith can
meet over a meal and have opportunity to ask questions. Both groups took a break
this year for different reasons but hope to resume in due course.
Courses for enqulrars
We regularly run courses for those interested in finding out about the Christian faith.
This year we ran Hope Explored and have plans to run Alpha in autuffln 2024.
Care home servSces
On the first Thursday of each month we hold seNices at two local residential homes,
Eastridge Manor and Aniska Lodge with 10- 20 residents attending at each home.

Supporting other charities
Each year we give away an amount equivalent to 10 /0 of the previous year's gross
income to support other charities:
Sierra Leone Mission - supporting churches and sCh￿IS of The Connexion. In 2024
this included supporting a visit by Rev Simon Allaby to Sierra Leone.
Off the Fence - a Brighton and Hove based charity working with the homeless and
those at most risk in the city.
Release Intemational- a charity working overseas to support persecuted Christians.
Caring for God's People- supporting the wort of Imts'az Ashraf in Pakistan
In addition we make 8 voluntary Ix)ntribution to the Mission fund of The Connexion of
£30 per church member.
Financial review
We are grateful to God that the financial needs of the Chapel have been met during
the year and that monthly income more or less covers monthly outgoings. In autumn
2023 we faced a significant shortfall due to loss of rental income from the manse
annex and a huge increase in electricity charges. This was resolved through finding
a new tenant for the annex. changing contract for the supply of electricity and
increased giving by members of the Chapel.
Summa
In our first year as a CIO we have been greatly encouraged. We have a small core of
dedicated volunteers who sacrificially give up their time and energy to provide all of
the activities listed above. In everything we do our aim is to glorify and make known
the Lord Jesus and make it as easy as possible for those currently outside of the
Chapel to encounter him and come to faith.
