Oldland Mill Trust Charity Number 1072911

Oldland Mill Charitable Incorporated Organisation(CIO) Charity Number 1203609.

Trustees Report Yr Endings 28th February 2025.

I am pleased to report the Trust has had another successful year, our first full year operating as a CIO.

No particular difficulties in terms of financial management and administration have been experienced in the new arrangement. The only disappointment being the continued failure of the Land Registry to register the transfer of ownership of the freehold property from The Trust to The CIO.

Until the transfer has taken place we are continuing to run both organisations side by side. As soon as the transfer has been completed the Trust will be closed down and the remaining assets and liabilities transferred to the CIO.

We have maintained a full programme of events and public openings and our normal schedule of weekly volunteer attendance and maintenance. Attendances at Open days have been well supported and people coming to The Mill have been generous in their giving .

Like similar organisations, maintaining levels of membership is proving difficult despite sterling work by our membership Secretary Alison White. This only underlines the importance to maintain all available sources of donations and legacies.

Major capital expenditure during the year included the planned replacement of the cherry picker . The new equipment will provide further and better operational access at high level . The old cherry picker was successfully sold.

Finally my fellow Trustees and I would like to thank all our members and volunteers for their continued support. Without their efforts it would not be possible to maintain Oldland Mill as an iconic and historic working mill.
